Day Camp FAQ
Do children have breaks during the day?
Yes. There will be periods of times where children will be able to sit down and rest. We will have 2 times snack and lunch. Also one of the rotations is arts and crafts so it will be non-gymnastics related, and the children will be able to relax while doing something productive.
Can I stay and watch my child?
Parents are more than welcome to sit and watch in the viewing area. If your child is nervous and does not want you to leave yet, we have a great parent viewing area that scans over the entire gym.
How will athletes be grouped during camp?
Students will be divided by appropriate age groups and/or skill
levels. Groups will be created at the discretion of the Instructor.
What if my child wants to be with their friend?
If you let the staff know the first day of camp, we are more than willing to accommodate you and the children to be with their friend.
What if my child has more skill than his/her friend and they are in the same group?
If your child is at a higher ability level, we can put them in a lower group with their friend. The coaches can assess the students’ skills levels and push them at their own level in each event.
Does my child need any gymnastics experience to attend?
No. There is no experience necessary to learn and enjoy our camp.
What should my child wear & bring to camp?
Campers must wear athletic attire such as shorts, t-shirts, or leotards
How safe is it?
We have highly trained staff that has gymnastics experience. Many of our staff were gymnasts and they have come back for the summer to do what they love best - coach! Each of the instructors has their own unique way of coaching and was properly trained to teach how to fall, jump and land safely.
My child has to take medications during the day. Can I leave it with the instructor for my child to take?
Yes. We will help your child properly take their medication and at the appropriate time. We also will hold the medication for you throughout the week if you would like, so you do not have to bring it every day.
Do I provide food for my child?
Yes, a healthy snack is required for all campers each day they attend camp. If your child is staying from 9am-3pm, you will also need to provide a healthy 2 snacks and lunch for them each day.
If my child is sick, can we switch to another week? Or get refunded?
Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds, but if there is space for another week you are more than welcome to switch prior to the day of camp that you are scheduled to come in. You will need to provide a doctor’s note before switching to another week. A non-refundable 50% deposit will be taken once registered. We do expect that if you reserve a spot that you will attend as our spots can fill up rather quickly and if a camp is filled we do have a waitlist. We also schedule instructors based on the amount of campers that are scheduled to come. Please make sure that when you reserve a spot, you understand why we have this policy in place and are aware of the non-refundable deposit.
Am I able to drop my child off earlier than camp begins?
Absolutely. We offer a before-care program as early as 8am for $7 per hour, Monday through Friday. Your child will be supervised by one of our highly trained staff to care for your children.
